First Photos Of John Cena On American Grit Set

Cena is moving further into the mainstream.

Photos and details are starting to emerge from John Cena's new reality television show. Titled 'American Grit', the show will air on FOX in 2016, as a ten episode military themed competition. Cena is playing the host duties, in a move that will further integrate him into the mainstream and provide a basis for a career beyond pro wrestling. At 38 years old, he's smart to start transitioning into other areas of entertainment, although he does undoubtedly have a few solid years left with WWE. As you can see from the photos, Cena is working alongside Navy SEALS. The military has always been something that Cena is passionate about, and he tweeted this past week saying "Life as a traveller sure makes you miss home, but it's truly comforting when complete strangers treat you like one of their own." He's also provided further details on the show, tweeting "Honored to host #AmericanGrit €“ A new TV series guiding 16 contestants through military & survival-themed challenges." Cena left WWE after October's Hell In A Cell show, but is expected to be back at the December 13 TLC show in his native Boston, Massachusetts. One rumoured direction for him is The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, which could even be the show closing main event.
