Former AEW Champion Dealing With Visa Issues
This former AEW title holder doesn't know when they'll be able to return to the company.
For those hoping to see Riho back in AEW, it appears that won't be happening any time soon.
Taking to her Instagram stories (via WrestlingHeadlines), the inaugural AEW Women's Champion noted how she's dealing with some visa issues at the moment.
As Riho put it:
"I am currently in Japan for renewal of my VISA. I don't know when I will return to AEW."
Riho last competed for AEW on the Big Business edition of Dynamite last month, where she lost to Willow Nightingale. Prior to that, she'd picked up a Dynamite win over Kris Statlander at the start of March, and nabbed a victory against Trish Adora on Rampage a couple of weeks earlier.
It's been somewhat of a stop-start run for Riho with AEW, with her being absent from TV for months before then returning to work a handful of dates. As a prime example of this, while the 26-year-old worked a few AEW shows in December, she'd previously not been seen in AEW since June. To further highlight this, the hugely talented Japanese star has only wrestled 64 times for AEW across the past five years.
Here's hoping Riho's visa issues can be cleared up sooner rather than later.
