Rumours of Bill Goldberg's imminent WWE return have remained constant throughout the summer. The return hasn't yet materialised, but the story has gained momentum this week, and Goldberg addressed the topic during an interview with Jonathan Coachman on ESPN's "Off the Top Rope" last night.

On returning to the ring, Goldberg stated that while he hasn't wrestled in 12 years, he wants to show his 10 year old son what his dad used to do for a living. His family have never seen him wrestle, and he'd love them to see the "superhero" side of him.

If Goldberg does make a return, it looks like the rumoured Brock Lesnar match is on the cards. Goldberg stated that while he doesn't owe Lesnar a rematch of their WrestleMania XX clash, that'll be the first match he requests upon returning.

Goldberg does, however, recognise the concerns surrounding a return, and says he'll only do it if he's confident of not tarnishing his past work. "To be that guy at 49 years old, do you risk losing your legacy?" he said. "I think that if anyone could do it, it would be me, but it's something I've got to think about - I'm going to do a lot of soul-searching."

Goldberg closed by saying he'd need until the end of the year to prepare. This likely rules-out the widely-reported Survivor Series match with Lesnar, but his lack of concrete denial will keep the rumour mill buzzing.
