With names like Batista, Big Van Vader, and even Rey Mysterio rumoured for induction over the past few months, the WWE Hall Of Fame's Class of 2019 is shaping up to be a big one. Now, it looks like the company are lining up the most prestigious headliner imaginable.

Per Rajah.com and Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE want Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson to lead next year's class.

This shouldn't come as a huge surprise. The Rock is a shoo-in for the Hall, and perhaps the most obvious inductee on the planet. There has also been a lot of talk about him doing a potential WrestleMania 35 appearance, and while the oft-rumoured Roman Reigns match is no longer possible, joining the Hall Of Fame would tie-in nicely with a 'Show Of Shows' cameo.

Rocky is comfortably the biggest name WWE could induct into the Hall Of Fame next year, and somebody that'd attract boatloads of attention to an otherwise routine ceremony. Whether or not he'd be able to make enough time in his busy schedule is another matter, but he'd likely treat it as a major honour, and it'd be great to see the 10-time World Champion take his rightful place.
