Hulk Hogan Could Face Jail Time Over Comments

Lying under oath could cost Hogan big time.

Hulk Hogan has allegedly made conflicting statements in his sex tape court case to the FBI and to the lawyers of Gawker.com, which could lead to the wrestling legend facing jail time for lying under oath. In an article by the National Enquirer, it was noted that a Gawker attorney talked to a judge at a July 2 hearing and said that Hogan made statements that were different to the FBI and to Gawker as well. Gawker is the website that Hogan is suing for $100 million for releasing the sex tape in 2012. The difference between the two is that if Hogan lied to Gawker€™s attorneys, he could be charged with perjury. If he lied to the FBI, he could face obstruction of justice charges. Granted, the National Enquirer does tend to sensationalize things, but if Hogan did say different things then it's possible that he will face a punishment for it. Also, it was the Enquirer that broke the Hogan story wide open a few weeks ago, so they do have some credibility in this instance. Even though Hogan is suing Gawker in this instance, it could end up hurting him in the long run. There's no comment from Hogan's side on the matter at this time. They are still trying to find out who leaked the racist comments that led him to getting fired by WWE.
