Jake "The Snake" Roberts Diagnosed With Cancer

Jake Roberts is out of the hospital but not out of the woods.

News and updates have continue to pour in over the past week or so in regard to Jake €œThe Snake€ Roberts and his ongoing health issues. Jake had a bit of a scare following a routine flight to Las Vegas, Nevada. During the flight, Roberts began to experience shortness of breath and tightening in his chest. He was subsequently rushed to a Las Vegas area hospital, where he was diagnosed with double pneumonia which had led to fluid buildup in his lungs. Following treatment and rest -- and even being placed on a ventilator for a few days -- things seemed to pick up for ole Jake €œThe Snake.€ Roberts was removed from the Intensive Care Unit a few days ago, and has since left the hospital. Reportedly, he is staying with Sinn Bodhi in Las Vegas, until he is cleared to fly back to his home in Atlanta, Georgia. However, despite his pneumonia clearing up, Jake is not out of the woods yet. Roberts made an appearance at a Future Stars of Wrestling show this past weekend. Sadly, he announced during his appearance that he has been diagnosed with cancer, stating that he will have an operation at some point in the future to remove the malignant material from his chest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hHnhLE2Vhk Despite the diagnosis, Roberts seemed to be in good spirits -- even joking about WWE€™s troubles of late and their stock plummet from a few months back. When speaking of his cancer diagnosis, Jake stated that he isn€™t afraid but is €œvery comfortable with faith€ in those around him. He took the time to thank Sinn Bodhi and Diamond Dallas Page, as well as the WWE and Vince McMahon. Roberts further stated that his battle with cancer will be €œjust another fight,€ and that if he €œcould beat addiction, beat cancer.€ Surely, everyone in the wrestling world -- insiders, athletes, and fans alike -- are pulling for Jake. We will continue to provide updates on Jake Roberts and his condition as more information becomes available. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment below.
