James Storm & Magnus Leaving TNA After Sunday's Slammiversary PPV

TNA losing two more former World Champions as the ship continues to sink.

James Storm will face Magnus at Sunday's TNA Slammiversary PPV and it will be the last time both men wrestle for TNA. Both are set to leave the company after the event. Storm asked for and was granted his release on Thursday, according to Brian Fritz of SportingNews.com. Storm has been with TNA Wrestling since their first show back in June 2002 and is one of the most successful wrestlers in the history of the company. He held the TNA World Title once and won 13 tag titles as well. His loss is pretty significant because he was the heart and soul of the company that was also part of a major storyline as the leader of the Revolution. It wouldn't be a surprise if he worked for GFW.
Magnus is leaving because his contract is up and it was noted by Dave Meltzer that he'll be wrestling at the Global Force Wrestling TV tapings on July 24 for Jeff Jarrett's new company. He's a former TNA World Champion that's worked for TNA since 2009. His fiancee Mickie James has been on TNA TV with him the last few months, but she was on a per appearance deal that is over now. Storm tweeted this week, thanking the fans for the last 18 years; https://twitter.com/JamesStormBrand/status/613972567808999424 Storm also posted photos on Instagram with TNA friends that appeared to be a goodbye dinner. He referred to it as "The Cowboy toast." https://instagram.com/p/4a6eslCAaB/ Both men have appeared at the TV tapings this week and will remain on TNA TV through the month of July, but their last time working a match in TNA will be Sunday.
