In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, former WWE Champion and current TNA superstar Jeff Hardy discussed his recent feud with his older brother Matt - but also expressed an interest in ending his career with a high-risk main-event match at WrestleMania.

The 38-year-old Hardy, who became famous for his high-flying, hard-landing style, acknowledged that his career is getting closer to its end. Mentioning that he "can feel [his] body telling [him] something," the younger of The Hardy Boyz said that the only boxes he has left to check off when it comes to his career are a Hell in a Cell match and a WrestleMania main event.

Needless to say, that draws comparisons to Shane McMahon's recent journey. McMahon returned to the company earlier this year to take on The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania - and while it wasn't technically the main event, it was the most-anticipated match on the show. Hardy said that while watching the match, he knew he could do better - but not as an insult, only in the spirit of friendly competition. Every time I watched Shane, I was inspired to do something better, Hardy told Sports Illustrated.

Hardy last wrestled for WWE in 2009, losing a "loser leaves town" match to CM Punk on Smackdown. At the time, it was believed that the star only wanted a short break to heal some injuries, but a subsequent drug arrest forced a wedge between him and WWE. He arrived in TNA in 2010, and despite still dealing with addiction issues, eventually overcame his demons to become a crucial part of the company.
