Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler Appear To Fall Asleep During WWE Raw 25

Surely Raw 25 wasn't THAT dull...

Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler returned to the WWE Raw announce booth for the show's 25th anniversary special last night, but things didn't quite go to plan for the legendary duo.

They were barely involved at the Manhattan Center, which saw only a few segments' worth of action throughout the three hours, much to the chagrin of those who'd paid upwards of $400 for tickets. The fans weren't the only ones put off by the lack of action, though: Instagram user theheelmarks posted this picture of 'King' and JR late in the show, with both men seemingly nodding off.

There's probably a boring, logical explanation for the photo (in all likelihood, the photographer just caught them as they were blinking), but let's choose to believe the duo stopped for a quick nap instead.

WWE's decision to host Raw 25 in two separate buildings was a disaster. Returning to the Manhattan Center was a good idea, but the execution killed the crowd's enthusiasm, and had them visibly upset at the lack of action. Given their reaction, it isn't completely implausible that two near 70-year-old announcers would doze off during a down period...
