John Cena Injury Update "This One May Take A Bit"

Cena with negative news on his recovery.

John Cena has provided an update on his injury, revealing that his recovery may take some time. Posting on Twitter, he said;
"Day 6 post operation. Movement is very good but because a giant chunk of cartilage was missing, this one may take a bit. #nevergiveup".
This is bad news for WWE, and it sounds like Dave Meltzer was right when he said that Cena's recovery will be six to nine months. Judging by the "this may take a bit" comment, it sounds like Cena could be out for the full nine months. The lack of cartilage is going to be a major issue, one that will also leave him susceptible to future injury. His initial problem was a shoulder injury, with Meltzer reporting it as a torn labrum. It has been speculated that Cena may have suffered the injury due to his olympic style weightlifting. As a result of that speculation, WWE may look at altering or advising the training methods of its superstars. Shoulder injuries have been occurring far too frequently in the last year. Many of the wrestlers lift an unnecessary level of weights, which is potentially putting too much strain on their already beaten up body. A nine month absence would put Cena out until after SummerSlam, with a return at Night Of Champions likely his first possibility for a comeback.
