John Cena Suffers Broken Nose On WWE Raw [Photos]

A broken nose didn't stop Cena from having another great match on Raw.

John Cena suffered a broken nose during Monday night's Raw main event where he successfully defended his United States Title against Seth Rollins. The injury occurred when Rollins nailed him with a knee to the face that knocked Cena down legitimately and caused his nose to bleed throughout the rest of the match. The ringside doctor actually went in the ring to check on Cena during a couple of different points in the match, but Cena told him that he was fine. They ended up having a fantastic main event match that Cena won with the STF submission hold. After Raw was over, WWE.com posted several black and white photos of Cena with his nose broken. They post them in black and white because they don't want the blood to be visible.

WWE ringside physician Dr. Steve Daquino commented on the injury: "As you can see on television tonight, John suffered from a nasal fraction. He€™s got quite a bit of displacement, so we sent him over to the local emergency room so he can be evaluated by the ears, nose and throat doctor who€™s on call tonight and see what can be done to properly repair it." The good news for WWE is that Summerslam is four weeks away and as long as Cena doesn't need some surgery, he should be fine for the event where he's likely going to face Rollins again, this time for the WWE Title. Cena may be given the weekend off from live events and they could hold him off from wrestling on Raw next week as a precaution. A video of the Rollins knee is below with the strike taking place at the 1:05 mark in the video, with a replay shown soon after. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjdwPfr5dmI
