Jon Moxley is glad that his abandoned WWE feud with Mick Foley didn't happen.

The AEW star told Wrestling Observer Radio that he wouldn't have responded positively to being handed a script for the rivalry, and he thinks that would've been WWE's approach. Mox said he "would have reacted very poorly, to say the least", and reckons that might've made others view him as "hard to work with".

"It would have all probably gone to sh*t", he added.

Moxley would've been way more interested in working an angle with Mick in another era. Specifically, the 'Attitude' days - he believes the freedom that era afforded performers would've been right up his street. It's hard for anyone to argue with that.

2011-2012 was different though, and Jon didn't know quite how different until he landed on screen with The Shield. Now, in retrospect, Moxley can see that it just wasn't meant to be, and that WWE pulling the plug on the proposed feud was a blessing in disguise for his career.

Being tarred with the 'bad attitude' brush so early in his career (for throwing scripts back at the writers) wouldn't have done him any good.
