Kane has expressed his enthusiasm for wrestling Sting in WWE. In an interview with alternativenation.net, the WWE veteran revealed it was his dream to face off against the WCW Icon. "That would be a dream come true , because Sting is one of the guys who I looked up to when I was a youngster. The dude was the face of WCW, and before that the NWA, one of the most popular wrestlers in history. That would be pretty awesome." There's a chance that Kane's dream could come true. Sting was coming to WWE with hopes of wrestling The Undertaker, but that looks increasingly unlikely. Taker is old and physically in need of retirement. Kane would be a natural substitute, given his character and physical similarities to the Deadman. In some ways it even makes more sense. Kane is a heel, Sting is a face. You still have all the same connotations of a WWE veteran against a WCW mainstay. The comments could just be one man being respectful to another, but some fans are speculating that Kane has deliberately put the idea out there. Talking about how he looked up to Sting and how "awesome" it would be to work with him, it has certainly quite the piece of flattery. He also put over the idea that The Undertaker would make a good opponent for Sting. "I think that a Sting vs. Undertaker story would be awesome as well, because you would see the faces of two different companies from the same generation collide."
