Kevin Owens Talks About WWE Backstage Friendship With Triple H

Owens and Triple H are a modern day kliq.

Kevin Owens has talked about his backstage friendship with Triple H. He told Montreal Canadiens that it was Triple H who got him his job with WWE, revealing "He hired me. When I got my chance to be called up to the pros, the story I heard was that four or five people had a say in the decision. The vote was tied at two, and Triple H cast the deciding ballot. He gave me my chance." Hunter has had Owens' back ever since, giving him a mega push on NXT, and then helping book him in a major feud with John Cena on Raw. K.O and The Game have now grown to be good friends, bonding over the fact they are both parents. "Since I started working with him, we€™ve become a lot closer. He helps me as much as he can for shows €“ like he does with everyone €“ but we both have young kids at home and we talk about a lot of other things that have nothing to do with wrestling." Owens adds, "The fact that he€™s in my corner is what counts." Indeed. Having Triple H in your corner is a dream come true. He's one of the most powerful men in the wrestling industry, and you can see what Hunter did for Seth Rollins these past couple of years. The Game and the current WWE Champion are very good friends. As for Owens, it is rumoured that Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn don't like him. Maybe they were the ones that Owens talks about not wanting to sign him. But it hardly matters, Triple H got him signed, and in the long run, Triple H is going to be running the empire. Kevin Owens will do just fine with his good buddy in the control room.
