It's been merely two months since WCPW staged their inaugural show, and yet the phenomenon has grown so quickly that all the top independent stars from around the globe are clamouring for a place on the card.Kurt Angle is one of them, and with the Olympics kicking off in Rio, the gold medalist and bona-fide wrestling legend is clearly in the mood. Not only is he already preparing to suplex the stuffing out of the winner of WCPW's Kurt Angle Invitational on 6 October in Newcastle, but the Olympic hero has personally requested a match opposite Cody Rhodes two days later - the pair's first meeting in the UK.Here's how the match was announced; For the first time ever, WCPW will be traveling beyond our North East home for the 8 October show, pitching up at the Silver Blades Arena in Greater Manchester. Not only are fans set to be treated to what promises to be a spectacular main event between Rhodes and Angle - plus action from the rest of WCPW's stellar roster - but there will be a fan convention held throughout the day, free to all ticket holders.
