Lana and Rusev are engaged. The news had been know for a while, hence why WWE did the Rusev Summer Rae engagement angle on Raw last week. However, the story of the real life engagement was picked up by TMZ this past week, basically killing WWE's storyline. Lana and Rusev have been dating for a long time, and they even bought a house together in Nashville. The engagement took place last month, reportedly at the pool area in their backyard. Cameras were present to film the occasion, so maybe this will end up playing a part in the Summer / Rusev storyline. Perhaps Lana returns and plays the footage, revealing that Rusev is still her man. Whatever WWE ends up booking, the storyline has been a disaster from the get-go. How can Lana go back to Rusev when he treated her so bad? But how can she go back to Dolph Ziggler, when WWE are now showing footage of him romancing Nikki Bella? Both Rusev and Lana missed sections of the storyline due to injury, while Dolph Ziggler missed time due to a movie shoot. With so much disruption to the storyline, this has been one of the lamest narratives in WWE this year. The real life engagement news just kills it completely.
