Matt Hardy Out Of WWE Action Indefinitely

Bad news for the Deleter Of Worlds.

Matt Hardy is set to take an indefinite amount of time off from WWE television as he deals with several long-term injuries.

This is according to Dave Meltzer, whose Wrestling Observer Newsletter writeup states that Hardy's Deleters Of Worlds tag team with Bray Wyatt is now over, and that he isn't expected to appear again for some time.

It was revealed last week that the Raw Superstar's lower back and pelvis had started fusing together. This sounds horrific, but is reportedly more frustrating than painful, and Hardy planned on starting new rehabilitation methods in order to deal with it.

Matt's retirement had been speculated following a cryptic tweet sent out a few weeks ago, and Meltzer writes that he may already be making plans for life away from the ring. In the Observer, he notes that Hardy will be "shadowing producers" during his downtime, giving him a back-up plan should he need to retire.

A decision on Matt's wrestling future will be made after his rehab is complete. This will determine whether he can return to wrestling at all, and if so, what kind of schedule he'll be able to work.

Here's hoping for a favourable outcome for the 26-year veteran.
