Sports reporter Charly Arnolt has revealed on her Facebook page that she has been hired to join WWE as an announcer:

As some of you may already know (although the vast majority of you don’t), I am beginning a thrilling new chapter in my life!As of a couple days ago, I am now living in Orlando because I have accepted a hosting job with the WWE! This is a huge step in my career and I am beyond excited to get started this coming Monday.

Arnolt has experience hosting the web show BackTalk Ball, and was a sports reporter in Indiana for a couple years. This is a bit of a random signing, as BackTalk Ball wasn’t overly popular. There were only a handful of episodes, with viewership on Youtube ranging between 900 to 15,000. Her personality, which she describes as sarcastic, must have won over someone in management.

With her moving to Orlando, it’s a safe bet to assume she’ll be starting out in NXT. No word yet on whether she'll debut behind the desk, or as an interviewer. Her hiring continues the recent changes with the announcing crew, as earlier in the year Arda Orcal and Rich Brennan were let go from the company.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
