A former AEW Champion returned after months away on last night's Dynamite.

Riho returned to All Elite Wrestling on last night's Dynamite, running Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Jamie Hayter, and Rebel out of the ring in her comeback angle.

The situation unfolded following Toni Storm's successful Interim Women's World Championship defence over Hikaru Shida. Ambushed by Rebel and Hayter after the bell, Storm was beaten down as Baker made a grand entrance, only for Saraya's music to hit. The former Paige then charged ringside, brawling Britt away from the scene.

Between this, Riho came to the ring, wiping Rebel and Hayter out before connecting with Toni, whose hand she raised once the melee had died down. Riho will now face Hayter on next week's episode of Dynamite.

The original AEW Women's World Champion and effectively a day-one wrestler for the promotion, Riho's last televised match for the promotion came at a Dark taping in May. She has since spent time in her native Japan, competing for indie groups Gatoh Move and Tokyo Joshi Pro, as well as representing AEW at the Tokyo Game Show last month.

Injury has hindered Riho's AEW progress over the past year or so, with her latest issues sidelining her for several months in January.
