Will she join her sister in an early retirement?

There have been rumors making the rounds lately speculating that Nikki Bella is getting ready to retire after WrestleMania this year. It will mark one year after her sister called it a career, and many are thinking Nikki may follow suit.

According to The Wrestling Observer, she is experiencing neck issues once again, which may spell the end of her run as a full-time wrestler.

The plan is for her to take time off after Mania (after competing in the tentatively planned Miz and Maryse vs. Cena and Nikki match), and then only appearing in big feuds and events in the future.

Her contract does actually end after WrestleMania, which has helped add credibility to the rumors. However, as we've seen on Total Divas, John Cena isn't exactly interested in starting a family, so she probably won't be a stay at home mom like Brie.

This is unfortunate news for Nikki, who has done an admirable job of improving in the ring over the years. As good as she became, though, she was surpassed by Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Becky Lynch in terms of popularity in the women's divisions in the company.

It's hard to imagine there being big money matches for her in the future, but she's about as well-connected as you can get in the industry, so if she wants to keep wrestling, you can bet she will for as long as she wants to.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
