Jeremy Ganger being hailed as a hero...

Major news outlets like CNN have been giving live updates from the scene of a horrific mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio early on Monday morning that left nine people dead.

Now, Pro Wrestling Sheet chief Ryan Satin is posting on Twitter that indy wrestler Jeremy Ganger was the man who reportedly stopped the shooter from entering the local Ned Peppers bar. Ganger was working as a bouncer on the door, and he's one of the further 27 people who were injured in the attack after suffering shrapnel wounds.

Ganger was identified when one of his friends posted on Facebook thanking him for his bravery and attempt to keep the gunman at bay before police arrived. Officers patrolling the area at 1am were on hand within 30 seconds after shots were fired and took down the gunner.

Information about Ganger's wrestling career is rather thin on the ground, but he'll no doubt receive some notoriety for his bravery. Satin points out that bar staff said Ganger had been sent to hospital for treatment but that he "would be OK".

Thoughts go out to families of the victims and anyone affected by this horrendous, senseless incident.
