Randy Orton Berates Raw Fans During Airport Incident

WWE star goes mad.

Randy Orton berated WWE fans who had gathered at the airport in Albany, New York last night. PWInsider reports that Orton "berated" the fans for bothering the crew after they had just returned to America from Europe. Understandably, Orton was grouchy after a long flight. The fans had gathered ahead of Raw in Albany. It was said to be a large group at the airport, determined to get photos and autographs. The rights and wrongs of this are complicated. WWE superstars often do stop to sign autographs and take photographs. Indeed, Orton himself was pictured signing autographs when he landed in Glasgow, Scotland a week and a half ago. On that happier occasion, he'd also just been on a long flight. But right now the WWE crew are tired. They've been on tour for eleven straight days and there's little rest involved. Orton was within his rights to ask for some personal respect on this occasion. Then again, with his legendary temper, it is possible that he went too far. It is never too good to hear that a wrestler has "berated" the fans. Orton will hopefully be in a better mood ahead of tonight's Raw, with his role likely to be important in making a final push towards Extreme Rules this Sunday. His main event match with Seth Rollins will be for the WWE Title and take place inside a steel cage. Both men have been wowing the crowds on the European tour and this Sunday should be another fantastic encounter.
