Randy Orton Possibly Turning Babyface Soon

The veteran might be becoming a good guy again around the time of the Royal Rumble.

Randy Orton is one of the best heels in the wrestling business and has been for a very long time. He's been a heel for most of his career. Last year he turned heel at SummerSlam 2013 when he joined Triple H as part of The Authority stable. It was a well done angle. Now it appears that he's going babyface again. It was mentioned by Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that he feels like there's a plan set in place to turn Orton babyface in the next three or four months. If the babyface turn happens then that means he'll be a good guy by around the time of the Royal Rumble. The way Meltzer mentioned it wasn't an instance where he was absolutely sure it was happening, but there's enough speculation that it might happen. Perhaps the actual turn will happen at the Rumble match itself. There was no specific date or time given, but if it's being talked about this far in advance then they obviously have some kind of plan. A turn for Orton could mean one of the babyfaces is going heel. Maybe it will be somebody like Sheamus, who is always rumoured to go heel. It also probably means that Bray Wyatt isn't going to turn face because if he did then the heel side would be really weak. When taking a look at the babyfaces in WWE it looks like things will get crowded. Some of the other top babyfaces in WWE are John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns (back by end of year), Daniel Bryan (back by year end or Royal Rumble), Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler and others. It would be bad for Ziggler because the chances of him moving up the ladder would be pretty slim with all those guys ahead of him. Orton is at a point in his career where he's so established as a main eventer for ten years that he'll get cheered by the fans for doing all of his regular spots. He's done it before. It worked. He's better as a heel, but if they need him as a face then he can pull it off. What do you think about the potential turn for Orton? Let us know in the comments below.
