Report: Triple H NOT Wrestling At WrestleMania 36

This will be the first time 'The Game' hasn't wrestled at 'Mania in years.

It looks like Triple H won't be competing in a match at WWE WrestleMania 36.

This is according to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He writes that with the card filling up, 'The Game' looks set to join Goldberg and Ronda Rousey on a growing list of major names all but certain to miss the show.

As is always the case with the WWE Chairman, Meltzer notes that everything is subject to change depending on Vince McMahon's mind changing between now and 5 April, but for now, his son-in-law doesn't have a match.

This would mean Hunter missing his first WrestleMania card since 'Mania 23 in 2007, when he was out of action due to a torn quad. He had wrestled on every 'Showcase of the Immortals' since 1996 prior to that.

Perhaps we should have seen this coming, as WWE hasn't even so much as hinted a potential match for Triple H in Tampa. The man's lengthy, methodical epics had become a 'Mania staple, though it looks like he's now ceding the spotlight to others, having worked only two televised bouts in 2019.
