Roman Reigns To Appear On Monday's WWE Raw?
Big Dog has "business" on red brand.
Ratings for Raw once more went straight round the U-bend last week, as the show recorded its lowest ever number outside of holiday season. Understandably then, it's been panic stations in WWE HQ, and it seems some desperate measure are about to be taken to arrest the seemingly in-arrestable slide.
Even if such measures have not proved effective whatsoever for the past three years.
Roman Reigns recently made a huge move over to SmackDown, in a coup promoted as the biggest capture in the company, yet last night he teased on Twitter that he plans to alight on Raw to take care of unfinished business. WWE themselves issued a counter-statement, noting that The Big Dog's SmackDown obligations preclude him from Monday night moonlighting.
Somehow, we reckon he might be there anyway.
Will a teased Roman Reigns appearance inspire lapsed viewers to tune into the show? It's no cert, given SmackDown viewership has plummeted since his arrival on the blue brand (though not, it should be noted, necessarily because of that), though hey, there's no risk involved in trying.
The cancellation of Monday's SmackDown house show in Corbin, KY means we can probably expect a number of other superstars to pull double duty as WWE step up a gear promoting Money in the Bank. The company will be desperate to avoid the show's viewership dropping below two million - a very real prospect given it's going up against the prestige NBA clash between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets - so we can probably expect a big response tomorrow night.
