Ronda Rousey Could Now Appear At WWE WrestleMania 32

Roadhouse movie is delayed and extended break from UFC.

Ronda Rousey could now be free to appear on April 3rd at WWE WrestleMania 32, after filming on the Roadhouse movie was put back. As a result of the movie delay, she'll also be taking an extended break from the UFC. "The filming of the movie got pushed back," UFC President Dana White told Kevin Iole. "The filming is in a time frame where she'd finish before UFC 200, but it would be cutting it too close." As a result, Rousey won't be fighting at UFC 200. The July mega event is planned to be the WrestleMania of the MMA world, and will likely feature all of the top UFC fighters. She had been expected to rematch with UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm, but Holm will now face number one contender Miesha Tate at UFC 197 in March. Rousey will then likely get the winner in the autumn. She has a storied personal rivalry with Tate, while she lost her belt to Holm back in November. Either fight is big money for Rousey. In regards to WWE, the pushing back of Roadhouse could mean that Rousey is available in April for WrestleMania. The long term WWE plan after her segment at WrestleMania 31 was for her to feature somehow at 32, with one rumour being The Rock and Rousey versus Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. However, Dana White is very unlikely to allow his star fighter do fake fighting. A segment in a similar style to WrestleMania 31 is more likely for the former UFC Champion.
