Ryback Calls CM Punk Fragile And Insecure

The Big Guy responds to Punk's criticism.

Ryback has called CM Punk "fragile and insecure" in a series of tweets that he later deleted. This was in response to Punk's interview on Colt Cabana's podcast, where Punk commented €œI€™m already beat up and I have to wrestle steroid guy. I call it like I see it. He€™s very hurty€.sometimes deliberate.€ Ryback initially responded by tweeting the above photo, depicting a Ryback figurine hurting a Punk figure. He later tweeted -
"For the record if I quit for being fragile and insecure I would make up excuses too. Things didn't go my way for a long time and I kept Going day in and out. Slander is a powerful thing and to state complete made up nonsense for no reason shows his insecurities. I will Continue to bust my ass study matches every chance I get, cut promos when driving and push myself for hours on end even when hurt. Thank you."
Ryback had a point. Punk's "steroid' comment was borderline slander and it was unfair to single just The Big Guy out. Many of Punk's friends have past and present used steroids, so the Ryback comment was nothing more than a personal smear. As for Ryback hurting people, he owns up to the fact that he's learning. Accidents happen. WWE might be pleased to see someone standing up to Punk, or maybe they'll be furious that a talent has gave Punk's grandstanding more attention. As a babyface it probably wasn't well advised for Ryback to get into a twitter beef with a guy who the live crowds still cheer for. Sections of the crowd are going to boo Ryback loudly at the next TV tapings. However, Ryback was justified in his comments. Punk being physically fragile is a fact. His insecurity is also a fact, he even admitted to Cabana that he was "f***ing mentally shot" towards the end of his WWE run. Ryback dismisses the steroid allegation as "made up nonsense", so Punk has indeed slandered Ryback if that is the case.
