Ryback Walked Away From WWE's Big Money Offer

WWE's money wasn't enough to satisfy Ryback's hunger.

Along with Jim Ross, Steve Austin, Tazz and others, Ryback has entered the podcasting world.

In his inaugural episode, he wasted no time in opening up on his former employer, revealing that he walked away from a three-year $1.5 million deal.

As we witnessed, though, Ryback was becoming increasingly unhappy during his time in the company and decided to try his luck on the independent scene for the time being.

Though the money is good, it's hard to blame him if he can make anything close to what he was offered. He had the potential to be a top star, but the rug was pulled out from beneath him when WWE didn't go all-in on him during his initial run as Ryback.

His heel turn was disastrous, and he quickly sank from top star to teaming up with Curtis Axel in RybAxel. He said he was told he'd be the company's top heel at one point, so any plans he was promised to entice him to re-sign likely weren't that appealing.

He also revealed on his show that he was scheduled to face A.J. Styles at WrestleMania with Vince McMahon reportedly telling him that he would "squash that little twerp."

It's likely we'll hear more interesting details soon from the increasingly vocal Ryback.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
