Samoa Joe Likely To Work With WWE This Spring

Joe is gonna kill you... most likely in NXT.

Samoa Joe is WWE bound, reports Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. It is expected that there will be something between Joe and WWE this spring, with his role possibly involving NXT. At the very least, Joe is attempting to get in with WWE, after clearing his indie dates from April 23rd onwards. Coincidentally, the NXT tapings will be taking place on April 23rd. "Theres going to be something with WWE," Meltzer states, "he is in theory WWE bound in some form, or at least attempting to be WWE bound." Triple H is a fan of Samoa Joe and is likely to be the driver in any potential deal. That probably means a role in NXT for the former TNA star, as that's the area that Triple H has made his own project. There's always the possibility that Joe could be coming in for a main roster spot, or even a trainer spot at the developmental centre. However, with Joe's dates being cleared from the NXT tapings onwards, the obvious suspicion is that he'll be taking a role on NXT. Joe has worked across a variety of indies, Ring Of Honor, TNA and Japan. A shot in the WWE is really the one thing left for him to achieve. He'll be turning 36 in mid-March, so it really is now or never for both sides to agree a deal.
