Sasha Banks and Bayley remain red-hot favourites to become WWE's first Women's Tag Team Champions inside the Elimination Chamber next Sunday night (17 February), but an injury to 'The Boss' means her pay-per-view status could be in jeopardy.

Per Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Banks has not been cleared to wrestle since competing against Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble. There's currently no word on the nature of her injury, but it's thought to be a short-term problem, and WWE do expect her to be cleared in time for Elimination Chamber.

Banks didn't wrestle on the Raw after the Rumble. She was booked on this week's show, but a pre-match attack by Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross forced partner Bayley to work an entire tag match solo. Even if Banks isn't ready by the 17th, WWE could pull a similar trick in the Chamber match itself, focusing on Bayley's talents as an underdog to generate sympathy as she battles the odds.

In similar news, Seth Rollins is dealing with an injury serious enough to keep him from the ring, but not off television entirely. AJ Styles, meanwhile, has denied reports he's working with a hernia.
