The subject of intergender wrestling in WWE has come up several times in 2019, particularly after a Royal Rumble pay-per-view that saw Nia Jax batter R-Truth and take his spot in the men's bout.

It looked for a while like WWE were to set 'The Irresistible Force' up for a feud with Dean Ambrose in the aftermath, but this never came to fruition, and the wacky 24/7 Championship division is the closest thing the company now have to full-on IG.

It remains a hot-button topic, and one person who isn't in favour of it is former Universal Champion Seth Rollins, who has said as much in a new interview with the Daily Star.

"There are places for it," Rollins said of intergender wrestling, "but this full-on independent style women vs. men match where the women are chokeslamming the men? Our business is based in realism, so let's do that as best we can. I think let's live in reality a little bit here."

Seth added that he "isn't saying women aren't as good as men," but "there's a reason when you go to the Olympics there are men's and women's sports."

Strong statements, though the debate will rage on regardless.
