Seth Rollins Vs Brock Lesnar Expected To Main Event SummerSlam

Lesnar is taking his annual hiatus from WWE.

WWE Champion Seth Rollins is expected to headline this year's SummerSlam against Brock Lesnar. The feud was established on Raw last night, before Brock was temporarily scripted out of the storylines. Lesnar is taking his annual hiatus from the company, which usually culminates in a big comeback match at SummerSlam. Rollins and Lesnar had been due to wrestle in a WWE Title match on Raw, only for Rollins to duck the challenge. Brock gave chase, but Rollins was able to run away into the crowd. That was the catalyst for Brock going crazy and destroying the Raw announce desk. He then hit the F5 on Michael Cole and a ringside cameraman. Finally, Stephanie McMahon came out and said that Lesnar was suspended as a result of his actions against Cole and the cameraman. This is the storyline reason for Lesnar not being on the shows in the next few months. The truth is that his new contract doesn't have many dates on it, so the WWE booked this angle as the cover story. The whole segment was designed to make Rollins look like the cowardly heel and Lesnar the a** kicking babyface. The crowd were red hot for it and this will be a fantastic feud to resume upon Lesnar's return. It will be a fitting main event at SummerSlam, with Rollins being the perfect in-ring foil for Brock's big suplexes and wanton smashes.
