Retired WWE legend Shawn Michaels told Sky Sports that he'd be willing to make a sensational in-ring return if the circumstances were right and fans didn't expect the "Heartbreak Kid" of old.

Michaels, who will appear as a special guest for WWE's UK Title Tournament in London's Royal Albert Hall later this month, last wrestled in 2010. There, he worked one final classic with The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI before bringing the curtain down on his amazing career as an active wrestler.

It's been eight years since fans were graced with Shawn's skills as an in-ring worker. He was linked with a shock return earlier this year against AJ Styles, but Michaels knocked it back. He's interested in doing something physical again now if the situation suits both he and WWE.

In the Sky interview, HBK said he'd be far more likely to work a tag-team effort with old pal Triple H as part of a D-Generation X reunion than fly solo in a featured match. That makes sense. As good as Shawn was (and probably still is), he'd have a mountain of ring rust to shake off.
