Sheamus Is WWE's New Mr Money In The Bank

Big plans ahead for the Irishman.

Sheamus was the victor in WWE's 2015 Money In The Bank ladder match. He overcame a final ladder top brawl with Neville, knocking the Englishman down and then taking the MITB briefcase. The decision for WWE to feature another major heel as Mr Money In The Bank is a sensible creative choice. The role is better suited to a bad guy, with the idea that a constant threat is always on the prowl. That could be an indication that we'll be getting a new babyface Champion soon, possibly as soon as the WWE Title match that Dean Ambrose will contest with Seth Rollins at the end of the MITB show. Sheamus is one of WWE's best paid wrestlers and a personal favourite of Triple H. WWE likes to keep him as a constant feature in the upper mid card to main event scene, and the MITB briefcase should ensure that the Irishman enjoys his greatest prominence since his 2012 World Title matches. The Money In The Bank match itself was a decent affair. It was by no means the best MITB match ever, but it was an enjoyable showcase of the typical big moves. Babyface project Roman Reigns was given particular attention, with a range of big powerful spots that included an over the top ring dive and launching Kofi Kingston over the top rope. However, a shock Bray Wyatt appearance cost Roman the match, which most in the arena cheered.
