Sin Cara Injured At WWE Survivor Series, Will Be Out 6-9 Months

WWE's official website has confirmed that Sin Cara suffered a patella tendon rupture at the Survivor Series PPV in Madison Square Garden last night and will be out of action until at least next summer. WWE doctor Michael Sampson is quoted as saying;

"He€™s going to need surgery and be out for six to nine months for rehab."
That means that Sin Cara will at the very least miss Wrestlemania but could also be out all the way to next August's SummerSlam event. Sin Cara was injured during the five on five traditional Survivor Series elimination match last night as part of Team Orton. The match had to be changed when a move he attempted a dive to the outside resulted in the injury and his finish came when the referee's ruled him eliminated via injury. For a few minutes it was clear moments in the match had been changed on the fly. Somewhat annoyingly for the WWE I'm sure is that they have already turned the fake Sin Cara back to Hunico some weeks ago and wouldn't be able to use him as a fill-in to continue selling the merchandise, such as the popular $75 masks at SmackDown shows.
