This week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX saw an average ratings increase of 0.9% overnight, according to Showbuzz Daily.

After bringing in 2.262 million viewers on average last week, the latest edition of the blue show managed to draw 2.282 million viewers overnight. Friday's episode also scored a 0.6 in the always vital 18-49 demographic, meaning it came away with the #2 spot in the category on the night behind Shark Tank.

Fans who tuned into this week's show were treated to one of the most diverse iterations of the blue brand in recent times. From Bayley and Bianca Belair's hilarious obstacle course segment, to Kevin Owens' absolute annihilation of Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the closing stages, this night undoubtedly had something in it for everyone.

With next week's show being the go-home edition of SmackDown before the Royal Rumble, WWE will likely pull out all the stops to ensure fans go out of their way to witness one of their biggest shows of the year.

So, that, and Roman Reigns' reaction to his beatdown at the hands of 'KO', will no doubt make for yet another must-see edition of the Friday night delight.
