Stardust Out Of Action With Neck Injury

Ric Flair gives an update on Cody Rhodes.

Stardust is out action with a neck injury, Ric Flair has claimed on his WOOOOO Nation podcast. The talented midcarder hasn't worked since December 7, when reports said he was hospitalised after a match with Jack Swagger. At the time, it was determined that no fractures were suffered. However, Dave Meltzer commented this week that Cody Rhodes was indeed injured, but WWE weren't disclosing it. That's in keeping with the company policy this year of not talking about injuries. If it is a neck injury, that'll be a huge blow for the thirty year old. There had been some rumours of him resuming his Cody Rhodes character next year, while others suggested he may finally get his match against Goldust at WrestleMania. A neck injury puts everything in jeopardy. Worryingly for WWE, this injury is the just the latest in a long line of wrestlers getting hurt in 2015. Tyson Kidd and Randy Orton are dealing with neck injuries, while many other stars have gone down with shoulder problems. Why has there been a sudden spate of injuries? One suggestion has been that wrestlers are training in different ways, such as cross fit. Perhaps too much exertion has been put on their bodies. Or, it could just be a case of bad luck, which has struck several wrestlers all at the same time.
