Stephanie McMahon's 10 Best Promos Of Her Authority Heel Run

2. Stephanie Makes Vickie A Sympathetic Character

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L6svjsxKyI For the better part of the last decade, there have been few WWE performers more consistently despised than Vickie Guerrero. The widow of the late Eddie Guerrero was brought on more as a favor to the Guerrero family but she quickly grew into a hated general manager and authority figure. Despite fans€™ enduring respect and admiration for Eddie, that admiration never carried over to Vickie. €That is, until Stephanie McMahon got involved. Earlier this summer, Vickie decided it was time to leave WWE, so they set up an angle for her to leave on a high note. For several weeks, The Authority had been riding Vickie pretty hard, but it came to a head in June, when Stephanie accused her of riding Eddie€™s coattails, said she couldn€™t be a diva (a veiled dig at her size) and then made her beg for her job. Stephanie then put Vickie into a match against her, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
In the span of four minutes, Vickie went from a hated villain to fans chanting her name as she stood up to Stephanie. That€™s when you know you€™re a powerful heel €“ when siding against you makes you a babyface by default. In this case, Stephanie€™s promo work all but forced even the most jaded fans to cheer for Vickie.
