Steve Austin Refutes Rumors Of Heat With WWE & Vince

Stone Cold took to his podcast to address rumours of bad blood between he and his former boss.

During Tuesday, April 7th€™s edition of the family friendly version of the Steve Austin Show, Stone Cold took the opportunity to address the various rumors that were floating around regarding heat between he and WWE, and specifically Vince McMahon. Last week a story broke that officials at WWE had been expecting Austin to attend WrestleMania 31 and were surprised when he stated on his podcast that he would be watching at home from the Broken Skull Ranch. Some reports even went so far as to say he was expected to arrive on a flight along with The Undertaker and WWE had someone waiting at the airport for him. Regarding these reports, Austin said that there were never any creative discussions between he and WWE about him appearing at WrestleMania and that there was absolutely no truth to the rumor. He also stated that last he heard The Undertaker lived in Austin, Texas, while he currently resides in Los Angeles and logistically it would have made no sense for the two superstars to be on the same flight to begin with. It was also reported that there was bad blood related to Stone Cold electing not to host the WWE Network relaunch of Tough Enough, and that Vince was angry over his decision. Austin says he was slated to do the show but that filming was delayed for reasons beyond his control, and when it was rescheduled it conflicted with his commitments to film new episodes of The Broke Skull Challenge. He said he enjoyed his stint hosting Tough Enough and would have loved to do it again, but it just didn€™t work out due to time constraints. Finally, Austin addressed the situation regarding running any more podcasts on the WWE Network. He says that while he enjoyed the two previous installments and would have liked to continue on, the two parties simply couldn€™t reach an agreement, and without going into too many details, it was strictly a business matter. Stone Cold closes out by saying there is no heat on his end and isn€™t aware of any from WWE€™s side, and that he€™s always going to have WWE blood in his veins for helping build his career, while he helped line their pockets as well.
