Sting's neck is not broken, Dave Meltzer reports on Wrestling Observer Radio. However, the neck is injured, and that's why Sting didn't appear on Monday's Raw. He was originally pencilled in for an opening segment announcement, but ended up going home to rest. Sting suffered the neck injury after taking a big whiplash into the turnbuckles at Sunday's Night Of Champions. You could see the WCW Icon's neck snap back. "He was taken to the hospital for tests after the show," Meltzer states. "He was able to walk, but he was not doing well." Thankfully, tests came back showing no breaks, with Meltzer reporting "The MRI showed no fractures." However, Sting's career could still be done. WWE are reluctant to have another Jerry Lawler situation, and Meltzer says he thinks WWE are "going to be leery." The thing with Night Of Champions, it wasn't just the injury in the Sting match, it was the fact he looked tired even before it. WWE are likely to take it as proof that Sting has no value in main event scenarios. He did have a good match with Triple H at WrestleMania 31, but no doubt WWE credited Hunter with that performance. Sting isn't scheduled for any more shows this year, and it will be interesting to see how WWE handle him next year. It could be that he goes into the 2016 Hall Of Fame and confirms his retirement at that event.
