Sting Posts Cryptic Tweet & Photo - WWE 2K15 Or Debut?

07.14.14 - What is Sting teasing for Monday?

Sting Wwe1 The rumors of former WCW legend Sting going to WWE have been rampant since the new year. When his TNA deal expired it was not renewed and the reports were that he was going to WWE. For the past six months we have read about how he might go to WWE, but then he hasn't officially signed. It's hard to know what's really happening. Sting isn't a big Twitter user, but he did two things that got people talking. He changed his profile to a dark image that had a silhouette of his face... twittertwitterHe also posted something on Tuesday afternoon that has the internet wrestling community talking. No letters. Just numbers. https://twitter.com/Sting/statuses/486557163079213056 07.14.14 That date is July 14, 2014, which is next Monday. While some fans might think that Sting is going to be appearing on WWE Raw from Richmond, VA it seems unlikely that it would happen now. What's more likely is that it could have something to do with WWE's 2K15 video game. Last week we saw that John Cena was going to be on the cover of the game. Every summer WWE always releases news about the video game and on SummerSlam weekend they tend to have a lot more news about it too. If you recall last year the Ultimate Warrior was announced for WWE's video game. The date that the video was officially released was July 15, 2013. Here's the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l2FeI5GMg0 As we reported weeks ago, 2K filmed a commercial designed for Sting within the last month. That's what this announcement is likely for. Since July 14, 2014 is the same date as a WWE Raw broadcast fans are going to think that he's debuting on Raw that night. The timing seems off for it. Why now? It's not like Battleground is a major event. The video game commercial is more likely. Sting could have some kind of deal with WWE where he's going to be in the video game, which could then lead to a Hall of Fame induction in 2015 and possibly a WWE appearance later this year or early next year. He may have a few matches left in him. Perhaps he could be in an authoritative role in WWE. There are a lot of things that could happen with him. It's a big deal because he's never been in WWE before and it would be a big signing for WWE to bring in one of the most popular wrestlers ever. We will continue to update this story if there's more news about Sting's involvement in WWE 2K15 and his potential debut in WWE.
