Sting Set For Shock WWE Debut At Survivor Series

Reports that the legend will debut with WWE on Sunday.

The highly anticipated WWE debut of Sting is set to take place at Survivor Series. It is being reported at PWInsider that multiple sources have confirmed the WCW Icon will be appearing on the show. Nothing is official but this debut has been expected for some time. WWE and Sting had been talking ever since the wrestler left TNA in January. It is thought that a deal has been in place for some time, but both sides have been waiting on the right time to debut. That time could be now. With Team Cena probably defeating The Authority, a new GM is likely going to be needed on Raw. Sting seems an appropriate fit for this role. However, PWInsider is also stating that Sting will not be taking part on Raw or Smackdown this week. WWE's logic is perhaps to use him just on the Survivor Series show to send a message to viewers that you need to be subscribed to WWE Network to get the biggest surprises. This will indeed be a big talking point from the show. It will create interest in WWE Network subscriptions. However, you do have to question the logic of not promoting such a big selling point ahead of time. Sting is set to wrestle one match in WWE. It will be at WrestleMania 31, ideally against The Undertaker if the WWE star can get fit in time. Other options would be Sting vs Triple H, Sting vs The Rock, or Sting vs John Cena.
