Sting To WWE Latest - When Will He Debut On TV?

Sting signing with WWE is all but agreed and he will be on TV at some point, but it won't be any time soon, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. The news comes after Sting didn't show up at either WrestleMania 30 or the post-Mania Raw. Dave Meltzer now believes that the debut will be much further down the line, the source he talked with sees the deal as pretty much done but with no plans in place for a television debut in the near future. It will happen eventually, but not right now. In analysing this news, the assumption might be that WWE will hold off on introducing Sting until next year's WrestleMania season. Perhaps he is introduced in the lead-in to the Royal Rumble where he can then start building a storyline with The Undertaker. Another scenario is Sting will be used as the big promotional spot for SummerSlam, he will be utilised in promo videos to sell the event before fans finally get to see him in person at the big August show. One idea could even be to use him on one of the B pay per views in the Autumn, something which would be an incentive for the first raft of WWE Network subscribers to continue their subscription. Ultimately, we know Sting is coming to WWE at some point. His comments at the WrestleCon event over the Mania weekend teased this. When asked about his favourite number, he commented "31". The TV debut may be much further down the line, but we will see the Icon before next April for almost certain.
