Stone Cold Steve Austin Thinks WWE Should Bring Back Goldberg

WCW legend a good fit for WrestleMania 32...

WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin thinks Goldberg should be brought back for WrestleMania 32. The Texas Rattlesnake appeared on Jim Ross' Ross Report this week and suggested the one-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion should receive the send-off his career deserves on the Grandest Stage of Them All. €œOh, absolutely bring Bill Goldberg back. I€™ve heard some chatter off his Twitter account that he€™s looking for a match and maybe that€™s just rumour, but man, if there is a guy that deserves a send-off, that is Bill Goldberg." Goldberg had arguably the most impactful run in the business during the Monday Night Wars. He went a staggering two years unbeaten at the start of his pro wrestling career, racking up 173 wins in a row before a controversial finish - involving Scott Hall and a cattle prod - saw him lose to Kevin Nash. It's a run that Austin believes is Hall of Fame worthy. "He had a hell of a damn run in WCW. He€™s a Hall of Fame guy for his impact on the business. He wasn€™t around real long, but his impact was felt big time.€ Goldberg would sign for WWE in 2003, winning RAW's World Heavyweight Championship in a year-long run that culminated in a horrible Mania match against Brock Lesnar with Austin Special Guest Referee. The Madison Square Garden crowd knew that both men were leaving soon after the event, which made for a hostile atmosphere and undoubtedly affected the action in the ring. €œHis run in WWE wasn€™t all that it could have been, but he came in at a weird time," said Austin. "But bring him back and put him in there with somebody that he can do his thing with, whoever that is, whether they go 2, 3, 10, 15 , I don€™t know, but it would be fun to see Bill back in the ring. It really would for me.€
