The Boogeyman Possibly Returning To WWE TV Soon?

Just in time for Halloween!

Step aside Goldberg, because The Boogeyman is coming back!

While nothing has been confirmed, The Boogeyman is apparently not taking any independent bookings at the moment. Wrestlinginc has noted that a couple of promoters have claimed he is not accepting any dates, because he will be making a WWE return soon. One of those potential bookings was for Dec. and another was for Jan.

Boogeyman is signed to a Legends Deal, so he's popped up on the Network on a couple of different shows in the past few years. He was also in the 2015 Royal Rumble as the 7th entrant, but was quickly tossed out by Bray Wyatt.

While seeing him show up around Halloween wouldn't have been too much of a surprise, having him return as a featured performer is. Besides being out of the company as a regular for quite some time, he's currently 52-years-old, which would make him the oldest full-time wrestler on the roster by a few years (Kane is 49).

To his credit, Boogeyman is still in incredible shape, and with all the make-up he has on, you can't really tell he's aged a bit. He was also never much of a worker, so he likely wouldn't be expected to be put in big matches with the likes of Kevin Owens and A.J. Styles (as fun as that might be).

With ratings taking a bit of a hit lately for WWE, will Boogeyman be the one to finally scare up some business?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
