A truly special anniversary unfolded at last night's Survivor Series 2020 pay-per-view, as WWE celebrated 30 years since one of the most iconic debuts in professional wrestling history, saying "goodbye" to said debutant in spectacular fashion at the same time.

That debutant was The Gobbledy Gooker.

Wrestling's top turkey appeared during the Survivor Series 2020 Kickoff Show. Introduced by 24/7 Champion R-Truth, ol' Gobbledy turkeyed around the set, gobbling around a bit, before turning on Truth, taking his 24/7 Championship in the process. A triumphant comeback for the almighty Gobbler, famously hatched from an egg at Survivor Series 1990, danced with 'Mean' Gene Okerlund, and created a moment that will live forever in WWE infamy. Gobble gobble, baybeeee.

Sadly, the night didn't get in glory for the Gobbledy Gooker. The big turkey was tracked down backstage later in the show. Akira Tozawa emerged from a flight case and, flanked by a referee, pinned the Big Gob to take the 24/7 Championship, before R-Truth showed up, defeated Tozawa, and began his 45th reign with the comedy belt. Poor Gobbledy.

WWE also celebrated the career of Survivor Series 1990's other, less important debutant last night - The Undertaker.
