The Rock Called CM Punk From The Ring After WWE Raw

Talk about poking the bear.

After the February 20th episode of Monday Night Raw went off the air, The Rock - in the house to work on his movie "Fighting With My Family" and who was "fired" by Vince McMahon earlier in the night - told the fans that the scene they were about to film was based on Paige's WWE women's championship win over AJ Lee.

The mention of Phil Brooks' wife prompted a loud "CM Punk" chant from the crowd (why are people still doing this in 2017?), so The Rock, giving zero f*cks as usual, decided to shake things up a bit.

He whipped out his cell phone and called Punk live in the middle of the ring. Of course Punk didn't answer, because according to his Twitter he was out walking his dog, Larry for his birthday. A second attempt at FaceTime also was unsuccessful, but the former WWE star, now MMA fighter - was once again unreachable.

He did tweet out a "thank you" to the fans at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for showing him love.

Only The Rock could get away with a stunt like this, and one can't help but wonder how this went over with Vince and Triple H, two men who are not only on bad terms with Punk but are currently on opposite ends of an ongoing lawsuit. It will be interesting to see if this affects his relationship with the WWE going forward.
