The Rock is going to be wrestling Triple H at WrestleMania 32, with WWE potentially looking to add UFC's Ronda Rousey into the match. "He's going to be wrestling Triple H or a mixed tag," Dave Meltzer said of The Rock and WrestleMania 32 when discussing the subject on Wrestling Observer Radio. What's really interesting is Meltzer commenting that the mixed tag is a possibility. The angle was shot last night at WrestleMania 31, with The Rock and Ronda Rousey taking out Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a spectacular segment. At the very least, Triple H vs The Rock will be happening next year as a play off from that angle. But the idea that Rousey could actually be involved in the match would really put it over the top. The Rock and Ronda Rousey vs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would be box office dynamite. "The mixed tag would draw better, a lot better," Meltzer states. It would absolutely be the right match to fill the 100,000 capacity Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas. It would also lead to substantial extra interest in the WWE Network. Rousey is a legitimate mainstream star, having earned a celebrity reputation from her dominant performances in the UFC and recent forays into Hollywood blockbuster movies. She's already a massive draw in UFC and sends their pay per view numbers rocketing. The big question is would UFC allow her to actually wrestle. The physical liability and association with fake fighting could be unappealing to UFC President Dana White. There's also the fact that MMA purists will be horrified at Rousey's involvement with pro wrestling. On the subject of UFC and WWE working out an agreement, Meltzer states "Rock and Dana are friends. There's nothing that Ronda does that Dana hasn't known about for months." At the very least, Triple H and The Rock is happening. You'd have to say that Rock is the right man to main event next year's show, as he's the biggest wrestling and mainstream star in company history. As for Triple H's involvement in WWE's biggest show in history, there'll of course be those fans who point to it as self serving booking. Initial plans for The Rock versus Brock Lesnar next year appear to have been scrapped, with Lesnar basically going babyface at last night's show.
