Last night's Raw saw The Undertaker make his first WWE appearance in just under two months, and he had a huge announcement to make.

With the Royal Rumble set to take place in his home state of Texas on January 29th, Taker has thrown his name into the mix, and will now take part in the Rumble itself.

He joins Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, The New Day, Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho, Braun Strowman, and Baron Corbin as confirmed participants. The field is still taking shape, but it already looks like a star-studded affair, and The Undertaker has a huge task on his hands if he's to win what could be his final Royal Rumble.

The Deadman has appeared in 10 Royal Rumbles throughout his lengthy WWE career, but he has only won the match once before (2007). Taker's last appearance came in 2009 when he narrowly missed-out on the top four, and he has eliminated an impressive 35 wrestlers throughout his Rumble career.

The Undertaker might be 51, but he should be considered a huge favourite for the match. Coincidentally, John Cena is set to fight for the WWE Championship on January 29th, so perhaps 2017 will be the year WWE finally pull the trigger on Cena vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania.
