WrestleMania 35 could be the first 'Showcase Of The Immortals' to not feature a match involving The Undertaker since 'Mania 2000.

This is according to Dave Meltzer, who writes in the new Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the proposed "top of the card for WrestleMania does not include an Undertaker match," though plans could always change as we close in on the 7 April event.

If true, it'll be the first time 'The Deadman' has been absent from a 'Mania card in 19 years, having missed the 2000 show while recovering from a pectoral injury. This and a WrestleMania X (1994) absence due to back issues are the only breaks in his 28 years of service on WWE's 'Show Of Shows.'

The Undertaker will be missed at WM35. Though his performances have been depreciating steadily since Brock Lesnar broke his Streak at 'Mania XXX, he's a huge part of the event's legacy, to the point where it might not feel like 'The Showcase Of The Immortals' without him.

Reports earlier this week had Undertaker pegged as a potential Hall Of Fame 2019 headliner. With no 'Mania match scheduled, and WWE's policy of only inducting retired in-ring performers, perhaps his time between the ropes is done...
